Terms of Service
Version 1.1. Effective from 10 October 2026.
We will tell you at least 30 days before an important change to these terms takes effect. Clause 17 explains how.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are a contract between you and us for the use of ExamStudyAid.
We are ExamStudyAid OÜ, a private limited company (osaühing) under Estonian law, registry code 17537614 in the Estonian Commercial Register (Äriregister). Our registered address is Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 10115, Estonia. You can email us at help@examstudyaid.com.
In these terms:
- "we", "us" and "our" mean ExamStudyAid OÜ;
- "you" means the person using the service;
- "the service" means the website at examstudyaid.com, everything you can use on it, and your account;
- "study content" means the notes, summaries, flashcards, questions, mark schemes, model answers, feedback and other material we make available through the service;
- "paid plan" means a subscription you pay for.
The service is an online exam-revision platform. It provides study content for the exam syllabuses listed on the site.
You use the service in a web browser on a computer, tablet or phone, over an internet connection. There is nothing to install. Study content is shown on the site and protected by access controls (clause 6).
These terms apply to everyone who uses the service, whether or not they have an account. If you only use the free content, clause 4 also applies to you.
These terms are written in English. English is the language of our contract with you, and by using the service you agree to receive information from us in English. If we ever publish a translation, the English text applies where the two differ.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel and when you can get a refund. Both form part of these terms. Our Legal Details and Contact page gives our full company details.
2. Who can use the service, and age
You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you are under 13, you may not register. We delete any account we find belongs to someone under 13. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use the service, and they should know about these terms. The person who pays for a paid plan must be 18 or older (clause 5).
During set-up we ask for your date of birth. We use it only to apply this rule, and we never show it to anyone else. If your date of birth shows that you are under 13, we delete the account at once, as the Privacy Policy describes (clause 4).
Some countries set a higher minimum age, or require a parent to give consent in a particular way. If that applies where you live, you may use the service only with that consent.
3. Your account
- You may have one account, and it must be your own. Do not create an account for someone else or share yours.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised. If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and email us at once.
- You can sign in with a Google account instead of a password. Google's own terms apply to that account, not to the service.
- We may refuse, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms (clause 14).
You accept these terms, and confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy, when you tick the boxes at signup. We record when you accepted and which version you accepted. If you sign in with a Google account, we ask you to tick the same boxes. If you use the service without an account, you accept these terms by using it. When a paid plan is bought, the person paying accepts these terms again before paying.
We send you emails about your account and your plan, such as address verification, password resets and notices under these terms. We do not send marketing emails unless you have separately agreed to receive them, and we never send them to anyone under 18.
4. Free content
The first chapter of every subject is free, in every resource type.
You need a free account to use it, so clauses 2 and 3 apply to you, but you do not need a card, and using it creates no obligation to pay.
Our pages of links to past papers published by the exam boards are also free, and you do not need an account to use them.
Everything else needs a paid plan (clause 5).
We may change what is free, or stop offering free content, at any time. We will say so on the site.
Everyone who uses free content is bound by these terms, in particular clauses 6, 7, 10 and 15.
5. Paid plans
Who you buy from. Payments are taken by Stripe on its checkout page; we never see your full card details. Stripe's affiliate Sold through Link, LLC ("Link") is the seller of record: it sells you the plan on our behalf and sends your receipt, and its Sold through Link terms at https://link.com/terms#sold-through-link-terms apply to the purchase. The checkout page and your receipt say so. We provide the service, and these terms govern your use of it. The person who pays must be 18 or older and agrees to these terms for the purchase. The charge appears on the card statement as LINK.COM* followed by our name.
Plans and prices. We sell one paid plan, ExamStudyAid Premium, with three billing periods:
- Monthly: $15 every month;
- 3 Months: $36 every 3 months;
- Yearly: $96 every 12 months.
Prices are shown without tax (see "Tax" below). All three give the same access to all paid content and features; they differ only in how long each period lasts and how often you pay. Your paid access starts as soon as your payment goes through. You commit to one period at a time: each period is paid for in advance and renews unless you cancel. We do not offer free trials.
Currency. Prices are set in US dollars. At checkout, Link may show the price in your local currency and charge you in that currency. The converted amount is shown before you pay and may include a conversion mark-up. If you pay in your local currency, the amount of each renewal in that currency can change with the exchange rate. If you are charged in US dollars and your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its usual rate and may add a fee.
Tax. Prices are shown without tax. Any VAT, GST or sales tax charged is added at checkout and shown to you before you pay, and it appears on your receipt.
How you order. Choose a billing period on the pricing page. We then show you the plan, its price and how it renews, and you tick a box agreeing to these terms and to the automatic renewal, and asking us to start your plan at once. You then go on to the checkout page run by Stripe, where you see the plan, the price and any tax, and can check and correct what you have entered before you pay. Your order is placed when you confirm payment. You receive a receipt by email from Link, and we email you a welcome message confirming your plan, its price, when it renews, how to cancel and the date your access started. We keep a record of your order, of the box you ticked and of the version of these terms you accepted, and we will send you a copy if you ask. The contract is concluded in English.
Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically. At the end of each period you are charged the same price, plus any tax, for the next period of the same length, until you cancel. Before you pay, we show you the price, the renewal period and how to cancel, and you agree to them by ticking a box. Your welcome email repeats these details. If a renewal payment cannot be taken, your paid access may end. If the law where you live limits automatic renewal or lets you end a renewed period early, you keep that right.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Open your account page and choose Manage billing; this takes you to the billing portal run by Stripe, where you can cancel. If you have a Link account, you can also cancel there, under Recurring. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the rest of a period you have paid for, except under the 14-day cancellation right, under Link's refund policy, or where the law requires it. The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains all three.
Changing your billing period. You can switch between the three billing periods in the billing portal. Before you confirm a switch, the portal shows you when it takes effect and what you will pay.
Your 14-day cancellation right. If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can cancel within 14 days of buying and pay only for the days you used. During those 14 days your account page shows a "Withdraw from contract here" button; you can also email us or contact Link support. The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how.
Price changes. We may change the price of a plan. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. You can cancel before it applies. If you do not cancel, the new price applies from the first renewal after the notice period.
Receipts and invoices. You receive a receipt by email for each payment, showing any tax added. You can see your payment history in the billing portal and, if you have a Link account, in that account.
6. Our content and how you may use it
The study content and the service are owned by ExamStudyAid OÜ or its licensors and contributors. They are protected by copyright and other laws.
We give you a personal licence to view and use the study content on the service for your own study. This licence is not exclusive, you cannot transfer it, and it ends when your account ends. For paid content, it ends when your paid plan ends.
You must not:
- copy, download, record or save study content, except where the service gives you a download or print option;
- scrape the service, or use any automated tool to collect content or data from it;
- share study content, your account or your login details with anyone else in any form, including screenshots and group chats;
- sell, rent, publish or redistribute study content;
- use study content to train, tune or test any AI or machine-learning system;
- remove or alter any copyright or trademark notice;
- get around any access control, paywall or technical protection.
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback about the service, we may use them freely without paying you or naming you.
7. Exam boards
ExamStudyAid is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Cambridge International Education), Pearson Education (Pearson Edexcel) or the College Board. Exam board names are used only to identify the syllabus a resource covers.
Our notes, summaries, questions, mark schemes and model answers are written by us. They are not exam board papers, mark schemes or official materials, and they may differ from the way a real exam is marked. Marks and feedback given on the service are ours and are not official grades.
Our past-paper pages are lists of links to papers published by the exam boards. We do not host or copy those papers, and they remain the property of the exam boards.
8. AI features
What the AI features are. The service has two AI features, both on a paid plan. The AI study assistant explains topics from our study notes and helps you plan and practise your revision. It is designed to answer only from our notes and does not search the web; if the answer is not in our notes, it is designed to say so rather than guess. The answer marker marks an answer you type to a topic question against our question, our reference answer and our mark scheme, and returns a score, a mark-by-mark breakdown and written feedback. Both are AI systems, not people. They use AI models run for us by Mistral AI (Privacy Policy, clause 5).
You are interacting with an AI. The service tells you this before your first message to the assistant and before your first use of the marker, and shows it while you use them.
What the AI produces. AI answers, feedback and suggestions are indicative. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Marking is not an exam board mark scheme and is not an official mark. The assistant's estimate of how well you know a topic is based only on the questions you have answered on the service; it is not a prediction of your exam grade. Check important answers against your notes and your syllabus. We do not promise any grade or exam result. Features marked "beta" may change or be withdrawn at any time.
If a message suggests you may be at risk. The assistant is a study tool. If your message suggests that you may be at risk of harming yourself or someone else, the assistant does not answer the study question and instead shows a safety message. It cannot give help in a crisis. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
Your privacy. What we send to Mistral AI, what is kept and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy (clause 5). Do not include personal details about yourself or anyone else in your messages or answers. We do not keep your conversations with the assistant. Your answers and marking results are saved in your account (Privacy Policy, clause 2a). Nothing the AI produces can be shared with other users through the service.
Changes. AI features may be unavailable at times, and we may change or withdraw them (clause 12). You may use AI answers and feedback for your own study in the same way as other study content.
9. What you submit
You keep ownership of anything you type into the service, such as answers to questions and the details in your profile. You give us permission to store and process it as needed to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you submit. Do not submit other people's personal data, copies of exam board papers or mark schemes, or anything unlawful.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- access the service by automated means, or interfere with how it works;
- try to reverse-engineer, copy or extract our software, prompts or data;
- try to bypass any safety measure or limit on the service, including on any AI feature;
- use the service to harass, abuse or harm anyone;
- use the service to break exam regulations, for example during an exam;
- submit content that is unlawful, that infringes someone's rights, or that contains personal data about other people;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose.
If you see content on the service that you believe breaks these rules or the law, email help@examstudyaid.com. We look into every report.
11. Availability by country
The service may be unavailable or restricted in some countries. Whether you can pay depends on the countries Stripe and Link support. We cannot provide the service where sanctions or local law prevent it. You are responsible for complying with the law where you use the service.
12. Changes to the service
We may change or update the service, including study content and features, for these reasons: to keep the service secure; to comply with the law; to fix problems or adapt to technical changes; or to improve or develop the product. You do not pay extra for changes. We will tell you about important changes on the site or by email.
If a change makes the service worse for you in more than a minor way, we will email you at least 30 days before it happens. You may then end your paid plan free of charge within 30 days of our email or of the change, whichever is later, and we refund the part of your period that you have not used.
The service may be interrupted for maintenance or by faults. We fix faults as soon as we reasonably can. We do not promise uninterrupted access, but this does not affect your legal rights when the service does not work as described (clause 13).
13. If the service does not work as described
The law gives you rights if the service does not match its description or does not work as it should. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
If something is wrong, email help@examstudyaid.com and tell us what happened. We will put it right within a reasonable time and at no cost to you. If we cannot, you may be entitled to a price reduction, or to end the contract and get a refund for the period affected.
14. Suspension and ending your account
By you. You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account, email help@examstudyaid.com from the email address on your account. We delete it within one month, and your data is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes. Deleting your account ends your paid plan. We do not refund the rest of a paid period unless the cancellation right or the law applies, so you may prefer to cancel your plan first and delete the account when the period ends.
By us. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop providing the service. Unless the breach is serious or the law prevents us, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the part of any paid period that you have not used.
After your account ends. Your licence to use study content ends. We delete or keep your data as the Privacy Policy describes (clause 8 of that policy).
15. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for loss caused by something outside our control.
Where the law allows it, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount paid for your plan in that period.
We do not promise any grade or exam result, and we are not responsible for how you do in an exam.
16. Complaints and disputes
Complaints. Email help@examstudyaid.com. We reply within 15 days. If we reject a complaint, we tell you why in writing.
Consumer dispute body. If you are a consumer living in Estonia or in another EU member state and we cannot resolve your complaint, you may refer it to the Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon) at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA), Endla 10a, 10122 Tallinn, Estonia, www.komisjon.ee. Statements to the Committee are made in Estonian. If you live elsewhere, you keep any dispute-resolution rights that your local law gives you.
Law and courts. These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any law of the country where you live that cannot be changed by contract, and you may bring a claim against us in the courts of that country. Otherwise, disputes go to Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Tallinn, Estonia. Nothing in this clause takes away your right to use your home courts.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change is important, we email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel your paid plan before then. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, the new terms apply to you. Minor changes, such as corrections, take effect when we publish them. The version number and effective date at the top of these terms tell you which version applies. We keep earlier versions and will send you one if you ask.
18. Transfer of these terms
We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms, together with your account and data, to another company, for example if our business is sold or moves to a new operating company. The new company takes over these terms and your rights on the same conditions, and your rights are not reduced. We will tell you if this happens. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else.
19. Other terms
These terms, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the information we give you on the pricing page and at checkout together make up our agreement with you about the service.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
If we do not act on a breach of these terms straight away, we can still act on it later.
We send notices to the email address on your account. Keep it up to date.
Clauses that by their nature should continue after your account ends, such as clauses 6, 15 and 16, continue to apply.
